New tread on my grace walking shoes

I was challenged by a friend to read Steve McVey's book, Grace Walk. I held my breath so to speak as Steve articulated very well the topic of Grace. It was my fear that he was going to say God's law was no longer applicable, taking away the definition of sin. That just wasn't the case. It turn's out Steve's logic on grace is very much founded in the Bible. After reading Grace Walk I discovered it gave me new tread on my grace walking shoes. It's the same thing the Bible writers such as Paul have said except that it is in language easier to understand today. I am confident your understanding of God's grace after reading this book will put renewed pep in your grace walking step.

Help For The Perfectionist

Learning to live above the level of mediocrity can be challenging for anyone who struggles with performance orientation or a sense of inferiority. In his book Grace Walk, Steve McVey eloquently writes about the dangers of living on the fence between legalism and grace. McVey takes the reader step by step through his own life's journey of constantly trying to measure up. His vulnerable honesty, he brings the reader into his personal world and gives the reader someone to relate with in their own struggle with inferiority.
"Your sense of failure may be the catalyst God wants to use to bring you to a new understanding of the meaning of the Christian life."
This book was a quick and easy read for me. In each chapter, he shared rich stories that unfolded God's gift of grace in my own life. If you struggle between the polarity of perfectionism and legalism, this book is for you.

This is what has been missing in your Christian life.

Steve brings rest to the tired believer caught in the frustration of the Christian treadmill.
