Although basic as the title suggests, it is an excellent text with lots of problems and explanations for those requiring a technician's understanding of practical electricity using ELECTRON FLOW. One can breadboard a lot of these circuits and test circuit analysis concepts. Don't expect an electrical engineering circuit analysis book; for that purpose, get Mr. Van Valkenburgh's Engineering Circuits, or Bobrow's excellent Elementary Circuit Analysis and Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering.

This book is definitely the most informative basic electricity book that I have found, and it is also the easiest to understand and follow. It starts at the very basics of electricity and then introduces new concepts in a logical, easy to follow manner. The author does an excellent job of fully explaing new concepts before expanding and building further upon them.

Out-of-this-world reference book and should be required in grad school!

This comprehensive and well-composed book should be the basis for a dynamics course offered in every graduate-level engineering syllabus in our country. Professor da Silva methodically and clearly lays the foundation required to understand dynamics, using numerical and pictorial explanations and examples, and carries the student on an intriguing journey all the way to mastering the deepest analytical concepts of motion. This wonderful compilation of knowledge and techniques from the world’s greatest minds is invaluable as a reference guide for engineering endeavors in the aerospace industry.

Jesus knew what he was talking about!

I grew up strict Baptist. I'm grown up now and more open minded but still draw from my Bible teachings. Being a Protestant, I didn't learn to pray remote recited prayers. I learned the Lord's Prayer and could recite it on cue but it was not really a prayer I chanted like I saw when visiting non-Protestant churches. It almost seemed, to me, they were reciting straight from the mouth, not praying from the heart.

I bought the Kindle version of this after reading the reviews and that it was only 99 cents. It was great! Eye-opening! I liked it so much, I immediately gifted it a few more times and then had to gift a print edition.

I have such an enlightened understanding of the prayer and believe it gives me a better way to pray. Gee ... Isn't this what Jesus said when he introduced us to the prayer??? Everything falls into place: God, the almighty creator of the universe ... with my focus on Him ... whose name is above all ... whose Kingdom come ... his will is what I seek ... who is my provider ... to whom I ask forgiveness and the ability to let go of past hurts ... to whom I will think about before doing a misdeed, something that would hurt me or anothet and to whom I ask for divine protection because he IS God ...

Great, but redundant.

Great! As a believer who also is into energy work, I thought this book had an interesting premise: how the Lord's Prayer relates to our energy bodies.

The author shares a bit of his story, telling how he came to practice this. First he shares a White Light meditation, then gets into the topic. He describes the process, gives some background info on each chakra, tells why each part of the prayer works with its corresponding chakra, then describes a pattern to use when praying/ meditating through the chakras. This was great. I put his suggestions to practice, and had a "next level" experience! And I was only 31% done with the book! (I have the Kindle edition)

Then he basically says the same stuff again. And again. And again.

After the fourth extrapolated repeat of the same material, I was only 68% through the book. I skimmed the rest and didn't find any newly relevant info. So I stopped reading.

SO: For 99� it's great! Get it and move up in consciousness!

Interesting idea and original book.

This is an interesting book for anyone who want to integrate your spiritual energy practices with the Lord's Prayer. This book is simple, straight forward and quickly applicable. The author shares directly from her own practices and experiences. There is no preaching or ego. In great contrast to many of the books out there that want to "tell how you should do something" or "preach about who Jesus is / was", Dana Williams has a loving and gentle writing voice. She radiates kindness and encouragement when sharing from her own experiences.

After quickly reading the book in 2 days (it is brief), I was able to quickly integrate my practices of energy-body work and with use of the Lord's Prayer from an Aramaic translation. I found an Aramaic translation a bit more helpful in this process, as it shifts the meaning of modern translation which begins with the Greek language (even though the prayer was originally spoken in Aramaic). It made a notable difference for me, so I mention it here.

Surprise! This One Caught Me Right Between The Eyes

Did you ever experience something that afterwards you felt you were destined to experience?

Well reading this book was one of those experiences for me. Now I am a fairly confident person or, at least I thought so prior to taking on this quick little read. However, what I learned was that my definition of confidence was only skimming the surface of what confidence really is and I never understood just how deep and extensive a reach confidence has on all aspects of our lives. I simply didn't give it that much thought. While I see my life as wonderful and I've accomplished a lot, it was no wonder why I felt certain areas of my life were not progressing to the degree that I felt they should be. Hmmm a confidence issue? I would have never believed it in a million years.

Anyway back to the book. The author does a masterful job at not only defining confidence but, then takes you down a path to help you identify your saboteurs and develop "true" confidence.

This book is definitely worth the read. It just may surprise you the way it did me.

In this book you find why some event always happen to you ,because you are not confident enough to deal with them .
I find this very useful in terms of categorizing the confidence ,and the method you use to evalute yourself and find current position of yours in confidence ruler .
